HISTORICAL USE OF COLLOIDAL SILVER IN CHINA AND INDIA
Silver is a metallic chemical element and forms part of the transition metal group. Since ancient times silver has been highly regarded as a versatile healing tool.
Colloidal silver is a product that is sold as a liquid supplement, nasal spray and ointment, and it is marketed for the treatment of a variety of disorders. It is made with silver colloids, ionic silver and silver proteins; and colloidal is the term used to describe the particles of silver that do not dissolve, but instead remain suspended in the liquid.
Colloidal silver also is a liquid antibiotic, anti-viral and anti-fungal that has been touted as treating and preventing an assortment of conditions in both humans and animals. Colloidal silver, as opposed to just plain silver, means that submicroscopic silver particles are suspended in a liquid base. Because the silver particles are so tiny, they penetrate cells and kill pathogens.
For thousands of years silver has been used as a healing and anti-bacterial agent by civilizations throughout the world. Its medical, preservative and restorative powers can be traced as far back as the ancient Greek and Roman Empires. Long before the development of modern pharmaceuticals, silver was employed as a germicide and antibiotic.
Chinese emperors and their courts ate with silver chopsticks. A Chinese clinical study demonstrating that a "colloidal silver gelatin sponge" utilized on an infected tooth and surrounding gums was able to cure the infection.
Many people have been able to cure infected teeth and/or gums simply by holding colloidal silver in their mouths, directly over the affected area, for 20 minutes at a time, two or three times a day. But dentists tend to scoff at this technique, claiming there’s “no proof” colloidal silver would be effective.
However, Chinese researchers have now demonstrated that colloidal silver infused into a small gelatin sponge that can be placed inside the deep soft tissue pocket of the infected tooth will stop the infection.
In India, people suffering from digestive problems and organs related to digestion like stomach, intestines, liver etc. and those suffering from diseases of the urinary system and organs find it benefits to consume silver charged water. Silver has anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties. In olden times milk was preserved by putting silver coins in it since it kills pathogens of all types instantly.
